Participation
The first author of the submission and speaker for the Symposium should be a young researcher or engineer (under 40 yo).
The submission of a scientific paper/ extended abstract is requested for the participation. This could be related to a specific research topic or it can be a brief summary of a research project or a design example. Submissions are accepted in the form of:
- scientific paper (6-8 pages)
- extended abstract (3-4 pages)
Submitted scientific papers will be peer-reviewed and sent to the members of fib Commissions in order to receive their feedback for a further development of the work, with special reference to the fib activities.
Scientific papers / extended abstracts will be included in the volume of Proceedings (fib Proceedings) and published on the fib International website. Scientific papers at least 6 pages long -including figures, tables and references – will be submitted for the indexing in Scopus.
Papers should be written in English, while Extended abstracts could be written either in English or in Italian.

SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE
REGISTRATION FEES
- € 100 for fib Italy YMG members;
- € 130 for under 30 years old not-yet members;
- € 250 for not-yet members between 30 and 40 years old.
The registration fee includes the membership to fib Italy YMG, fib, aicap and CTE, coffee breaks, lunches and social dinner.
- € 60 for other participants that are not presenting authors. This fee includes coffee breaks and lunches only.

The Symposium will take place in Messina, Italy
AWARDS
The best works will be awarded through the
“fib Italy YMG Award for best advances in concrete and concrete structures”.
